Events

The “Events” functionality in the InputWP plugin allows you to create and manage multiple distinct events, each with its own set of custom settings. This feature provides you with the flexibility to utilize various date pickers and time pickers, each tailored to specific needs, and integrate them into your forms seamlessly.

How to use

Creating and Managing Events

  1. Creating an Event: To create a new event, follow these steps:
    • Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
    • Navigate to “InputWP” in the left-hand menu.
    • Click on “Add New” or “All Events” and then “Add New.”
    • Define a name for the event.
    • Configure the settings for the event in the “Introduction,” “Date Picker,” and “Time Picker” sections.
  2. Managing Events: To view the list of created events, go to “InputWP” and click on “All Events.” Here, you can see the list of events you’ve created. To edit an event’s settings, click on its name or the “Edit” button. To remove an event, click on the “Trash” button.

Integrating Events

  • Each event can be integrated with the same or multiple forms using the automatically generated CSS selector associated with it.

Importing and Exporting Events

  • Each event can be imported or exported to external resources, facilitating easy sharing and replication.

Benefits of Using Events

  • Customized Settings for Each Event: You can create multiple events, each with its own settings, allowing you to tailor the date picker and time picker behaviors for different use cases.
  • Seamless Integration: By using the generated CSS selectors, you can seamlessly integrate specific date pickers and time pickers into your forms, maintaining consistent styling and functionality.
  • Efficient Management: The ability to manage and edit events from a centralized location (the “All Events” page) streamlines the process of adjusting your input field behaviors.

Use Cases

  • Booking and Reservations: Create separate events for date pickers and time pickers for different types of bookings or reservations, each with distinct settings. For instance, you can have one event for selecting dates for hotel reservations and another for selecting check-in times.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Use events to define different date and time picker behaviors for various appointment types. This ensures that users can select appropriate dates and times based on the nature of their appointments.
  • Event Registrations: Customize events for event registration forms, providing attendees with specific date and time selection options tailored to various event sessions or activities.
